You can attach object to a vehicle and then attach camera to an object.

Thanks for the research, but I looked in the wiki and it doesn't seem to be possible to set the position of the camera.

Thanks, that's gonna be it, since v2.6.1 of the streamer plugin it is possible to attach camera to object, and attach object to vehicle...
