Finding a Monitor -
lolumadd_ - 31.08.2011
Hopefully I will be soon building my first computer
Its going to be an i5 Sandy Bridge with Dual GeForce GTX 470 (SLi).
I just need some recommendations or advice on what to look for a in a monitor. I don't need something huge nor do I want something too small.
Around the 21" - 25" size would be great. Brand isn't that important to me (I want it to last though). I'm sure there are many other good brands out there but I'm only familiar with the most popular ones. Sony, Samsung, Acer, Dell, Asus, etc.
I don't know much about what the screen resolution has to be for the best quality and such, so help me out here
Thanks
(newegg and tigerdirect links would be most appreciated)

You should go into a store, because seeing is better, then you know what exactly to look for. Also hit up some sales reps, and get some tips from them ;P

Don't get a Sceptre, mine broke after 2 months of use. I had to use a 42" LCD TV instead.

What about an i7 with one 470 :P?
Anyways, one newegg there are only 2 LCD monitors at 1920 x 1080 at your size with HDMI. One is $300, then this one is $160 -

P.S: You really don't need a i7 processor for heavy gaming. Even a regular core i5 would work fine so I i5 Sandy Bridge with turbo boost would be even better
I'll update to a i7 Sandy Bridge though if they ever come out with a i9 xD

Personally to the monitor part I could say Fujitsu SL3230T 23", it's 1920x1080 and I am currently using 2 of them. It works good for me, but remember it's only my opinion :P.
