Is it a good to start server when not everything is done? - BuLLeT[LTU] - 22.08.2011

Hello. It's me again with my FreeRoam Now i wanted to ask players' opinion (who would be interesting in playing on this server..). Is it a good to start server when more features is about to come? There are 30,000 lines in my code now and I think now server has a lot of things. But i have more ideas.. I thought that it would be great if updates will come when server is started. But I want to know your opinion. If someone wants to test server and see what it's done in it, write me a PM with your email adress, or skype. I will give IP because i can't advertise on this post.

Ofc not, Keep it off, until its Fully Complete, And well tested, Then Upload it.. etc, Having an unfinished IG, will ruin the Server's Reputation.. etc.

Well.. people like the daily updated server , so if you open it now.. each day you do things and show it to people , it would be cooler - so i think starting the server like this is better

depends on different things
for example
is it bugfree?
are there enough functions which make a good freeroamserver?
is the script completely optimized already?

if you could say yes to these you might consider opening it.
if not I wouldn't. the first question is the most critical I'd say, followed by the second.

I started my server when it was about 70% completed (3/6 major features done) and it worked good, it all depends

At the time it only had five playable classes, no maps, and--believe it or not--no hats. There wasn't even a concept of teams yet. That's right, we didn't actually get teams into a game called Team Fortress until a couple of releases after the initial launch. (The next time someone says their game isn't ready to release yet because they're missing a core feature, you can helpfully point this out to them.)

is it bugfree? - It will be a beta test 1, 2 or more days to check this.
are there enough functions which make a good freeroamserver? - I think so. It will be more.
is the script completely optimized already? - Yes.

Obviously it isn't. But keep the players interested, by teasing them with new updates.

Yeah, I home host my server and let my friends play while I update and stuff. Sometimes my server gets to the top of the internet list

But yeah, people like updates, I update a lot everyday.
