GTA V - dowster - 17.08.2011

so I've heard rumors about GTA V being in san andreas, am I the only one who is excited about this possibility, i hope not. Also, if they do do you think they will just use the same map? (hope not) or make a new one with a more attention to detail, side streets, etc.

Re: GTA V - Gforcez - 17.08.2011

i heard only Los Santos (but then bigger).

Re: GTA V - Corello2010 - 17.08.2011

The thing with San Andreas is the overall aspect of the three cities is great. I love being able to travel from LS to LV to SF and all the way back. The ability for instance on servers where you can flee to other cities and not be found is far from realistic though it's a good thing.

Liberty City (IV) was great too however I felt that it was to crammed. Too much detail in such a short distance. I understand that IV was developed after SA with whole new aspect and new software though I think if it was toned down a little then it'd be great for Los Santos to be similar to Miami with say Las Venturas like Las Vegas but not as empty as Las Venturas in GTA SA and San Fierro similar to New York.

Like already said, I think the aspect of having three cities is good. IMO it would be cool if they took the general map of San Andreas, like we have it here, and just make a big graphical 'revolution'. More details and some side streets and stuff would be cool, but not too many new things/still some old things, where you think 'hey, I know this from GTA:SA'. Also I think it would be very nice if I still knew where to drive to get to a certain place.
In my opinion it would be a very nice idea to stick to the SA map.
Let's see what the developers make out of it (IF it's true that they take the SA map, I did not see any proof for that yet. If there's any please correct me).

agreed, i love how in San Andreas its split up and i think the overall map is larger than gta iv is. I'd like to see a new gta sa with cities that are each the size of GTA IV and still have country side :P tho 500 players in that would be really spread out lol, even samp seems empty sometimes with a full server.

Seems like you want GTA to become an MMO

Well, there are up- and downsides of having so huge maps in my opinion.
At first, if you don't have a i7-machine and all-glass fibre internet connection, you cannot run a server that can handle so many players. This would make you incompetetive with other servers, you will not meet other players on the server, etc. On the other hand it would be cool IF you are on a server that can handle so many connections, because you always meet new people everywhere.
A huge map would make it interesting for big servers, but is a danger for little servers to die and that would be a pity in my opinion, because also here you can find unique ideas.
So: A little bit bigger, okay, but I hope they don't blow it out of all proportions.

Re: GTA V - Zh3r0 - 17.08.2011

Let's hope it won't request higher requirements...

Also, excited !

Look at some of the latest Rockstar games, Red Dead Redemption & LA Noire.

Edit - Well, appears LA Noire is having a PC version being converted/ made.

Both games are coming on PC. And the only reason why they originally didn't do it is because they weren't sure about the PC market for new series.

Gta V should be in San Andreas or Vice City, with just as much as fun as SA and more than IV. IV was extremely dull, I hardly had any fun playing that game. Though it was good..

Re : GTA V - Uchiwa_ - 17.08.2011

I bet it would be in Los santos look ( GTA 3 , GTA Vice city , GTA liberty city , GTA San andreas , back to GTA Vice city stories , GTA IV , GTA V ( back to GTA San andreas ) )
