How many slots can i probably run with 256 mb ram - dmbekker - 10.08.2011

Hi,

I know 256mb is less but my question how much slots can i (probably) have?

My vps is connected to a 1gbit connection and has an Intel® Xeon® CPU L5630 @ 2.13GHz with 2 cores CPU

Set it to 100 but inside your script kick players when the limit of 10 is reached.
You can change limit if there was any lag.

RAM really does not matter. It all depends on your script.

and what if the players got all crappy internet? i mean then i can only have 10 players.. not everyone haves crappy internet

Bro first of all you can easily host a full 100 slot server on 250mb ram with a good gamemode. Secondly, your connection is awesome. So 100-200 with a good gamemode would be good. And kick players who have higher pings. I've 2 VPS's currently and the samp server really doesn't pass 70MB RAM.

Yeah, just install a Ping System and set it to like 500-600 and everyone with ping higher than *** will be auto kicked.

SA-MP doesn't have a big problem with taking up hardware, but it uses a ton of bandwidth. You should be able to handle over one hundred players, just don't run the MapAndreas plugin!
