Non Paying eBayers - Haydn - 19.07.2011

Well I recently sold an iPod and PSP on eBay, And currently listed are an iBook and an HD Camera. So I was wondering, Neither person has paid yet. I have their numbers, Should I call them? It's been a day since they both ended, One said they would pay today and they didn't. Do I call them? Or keep waiting?

Yes, you could call them. It's been over a day, like you said.

My friend said it is being too pushy, Is that true? I am selling this stuff to get a laptop as my one right now is dying...

You sold it? If they did not have the money, they should not have even bid on it. It's not being pushy. You want the money your rightfuly deserve.

I don't know about Ebay, but I use TradeMe all the time. I'd usually allow an extra day or two for them to make payment, even if they are late. Then I'd give them a call and see what's up. Calling is always better than email, as it's harder for them to lie.

The way I see it, the buyer is your customer and should be treated with respect (and given a reasonable amount of lee-way).

True... Anyone else?

Re: Non Paying eBayers - Bakr - 19.07.2011

You're only giving them a day to pay for the items? Most people who sell via eBay, including many of the "Best Sellers" allow at least 3 days to recieve a cleared payment, sometimes up to two weeks. The average I see is one week to receive the cleared payment.

Another thing to take into consideration is what type of payment methods you are accepting? If you didn't specify PayPal-only, then they can pay with check/money order, and it would take time for them to mail it and for it to get to you. If you wanted the payment within a certain amount of time, or a specific type of payment method, you should've said so on your auction page.

See, One user hasn't even replied to any emails, and has 0 feedback and joined the day I listed. I think he is just trying to be annoying.

This is the point where I would call them. If not, put them back on eBay.

Someone that was bidding and lost asked if we wanted to do a second chance offer. But, eBay says they take a percentage?
