Hello guys.
Do you know that San Andreas Multiplayer isn't an official mod of GTA?
It is too famouse, but it is a mod that has been created for this game, and mybe knowed because of people, that said to their friends, that said to their friends...

I think Kalcor can tell us how he did create it, and how did he got this amazing idea of creating multiplayer....
I just posted this to keep you guys updated... The most of you should already knwo that.

Useless thread. Of course SA-MP isn't official, otherwise you'd see the rockstar logo painted all over the website.

What gave it away? The fact that its not included in the game and you have to download it from an unofficial site? Or the fact that SA-MP only works with one version of San Andreas?

As for how/why Kalcor did it:

He created SA-MP in C/++ using reverse engineering/memory hacking, and he got the idea because he always thought GTA games should have an MP feature (VC-MP was created before sa-mp).

I wasnt sure if kalcor had any involvement with LC-MP (im still not lol), so i didnt say which was first; instead i just said he was involved with another GTA mod previously (VC).

I'm pretty sure that Kalcor wasn't the only one to develop SA-MP. Correct me if i'm wrong, but there were other people developing sa-mp at the beginning.

No, your correct. There were many developers that have come and gone. I believe there is only 1 remaining developer besides kye now.
