Scripting in Ubuntu -
Scenario - 19.06.2011
After some serious thought I decided I wanted to give Ubuntu a try. So far, I like what I see. I've used it before, but that was awhile ago. I have come across one issue, which I know is solvable somehow. How do I script on Ubuntu, since Pawno is made for Windows?

I heard that you can't compile in Wine because Ubuntu doesn't have .net Framework. However, I could give it a shot and see if what I read is correct.

I had Ubuntu, using windows applications with Wine was a no problem at all so it will be the best option to try that
(Since there are no other?)

The actual compiler works fine in wine, I'm not sure about the editor though. Using nano or any other text editor will be fine.

The compiler for SA-MP/PAWN doesn't work properly in Ubuntu under Wine, it returns 86 (ambiguous) errors all of the time.

I've scripted under Ubuntu for a while using WINE. Never had any problems.
