You must open your ports in order for people to join your server, otherwise it is blocked and only you can use it

Are you sure you didn't give them your local ip? Make sure you didn't give them an IP that starts with 10, 127 or 192. That is your local ip and will only work for people on YOUR network.

You Forget to open your Ports , and send him the GLOBAL IP
