VPS / Dedicated - jonrb - 16.06.2011

Hello forum,
I'm looking into buying a 'proper' server, but am not sure what to get.

Will these specs be enough:
---
Monthly Bandwidth: 1,000 GB
Disk Space: 20GB
CPU: 1.2GHZ
RAM: 512MB
Port Uplink/Downlink: 100Mbit
---

If not, can you tell me the requirements for a server of about 50 people, +Mapandreas, +MySQL?

P.S. I don't want recommendations for "Other hosts" because I know this'll just turn into a hate thread for one host or another.

That will be fine, i'm running a setup of a similar type on a 256MB box.

Just out of interest, the next level up is this:

CPU: 1.8GHZ
Guaranteed RAM: 1GB
Port Uplink/Downlink: 100Mbit

It has some good specs, but for double the price is it worth it?
Should I buy this option to decrease lag &c or stick with the cheaper one?

Indeed, it uses about 80MB of ram at a relatively constant rate. But with 512MB ram that should be enough... Shouldn't it?

If you just want to run one server, the first vps will be enough. You can even host 2 or 3 servers with it.
The better vps would just pay out if you really need to host more servers.

You can't host "2 or 3 servers" with it if you want to host SA-MP servers that use MySQL and MapAndreas.

MySQL - about 200MB virtual max
3x Samp server with MapAndreas - 100MB each

500MB

So 3 servers might work, 2 server will work. Thats why I said "2 or 3 servers"
