Help with SA:MP Server, it just says "retrieving information" - Luke_James - 07.06.2011

I downloaded the 0.3 server stuff from sa-mp.com/download. I edited the configuration to suit me, the port in config is set to 7777. Once I configured it, I then launched the executable and it brought up cmd which said it was successful. I then went to the SA:MP server browser and added my server IP with :7777 on the end, I then opened ports 7777 on my router and checked them with a PortChecker from portforward.com, which said they were open. I've refreshed several times and it still says "(Retrieving info...) *MYIP*:7777

Can anyone help me please?

Try adding "localhost:7777" to your favorites. It works?

I fixed the issue, I closed the server thinking that you didn't need to keep it open. Thanks for the response, do you know where I can find RP game-modes? is there a forum section dedicated?
