Five years of SA-MP - stasieks - 10.05.2011

Hi guys,

Today is the day. Five years ago SA-MP Team released SA-MP 0.1. Some of you may remeber first beta test back in the 2006, some may not (shame on you that you didn't know about it!). SA-MP 0.1 was realesed on 10th of May 2006. SA-MP itself was announced on 3rd of April 2005. That's six year of development, six year of playing and six years of having fun with San Andreas.

SA-MP has great community, there's about 20 000 people from all over the world playing SA-MP at this moment. That hell of a lot! It only shows how we all appreciate the work you (SA-MP Team) are doing.

Thank you for all of you guys who's still playing GTA San Andreas and for you SA-MP Team for your time spend on this project. I also want to thank you Rockstar Games for releasing a great game which certainly is GTA San Andreas. I want to wish you all good and hope we will see each other next year and so on...

Let's go back to the 2008 and watch this cool video made by Damian - The making of SA-MP 0.2.5 preview (Damian Version).

I'm a player from August 2009, and let me tell you - SA:MP is so awesome! I would remember back in the old '09 days when I would come home from school and play on my favorite roleplay server, ahh, the good times, too bad that's over.

Yeah, I'm a bored loser. SA:MP took over my life, and I don't mind. I'm still playing it today.

Thank you to the SA:MP Development Team for developing a nice mod for us players to enjoy.

Agreed with 69Playa.

SA-MP has lowered my grades and taken over my life. I'm like the only one in my highschool out of the 1500+ students there, that play SA-MP, but I don't tell them I play it lol I really gotta stop letting it take me over, but scripting and playing this is too fun and I have been addicted since February 2008 when I first started at CrazyBob's.

Thanks everyone in the SA-MP team for this great mod, and I hope this mod will last a good 5 more years.

good old days, i stared playing sa-mp 2007 but i was nab i didnt know anything i remember when i bought gta and when i found out about mods i was like WTFOMGBBQ then i found sa-mp i still remember the first time it work because i had to downgrade, i was so exited when the vinewood sing appear on the screen i was ready to play

Wolfenstein is an old game too, same thing with alive of SA:MP, so dont think about that it will die so soon.

I still play Age of Empires from 1998, thats 13 years old from now.

I had to laugh when I first joined in 2007; I joined a server, and knew nothing about how the mod worked or what "synchronization" was (when it comes to this mod, such as sync damage etc). A guy had smashed into me, but his vehicle was still in perfect condition (on my screen anyway) which confused the hell out of me, so I ended up re-installing GTA:SA and SA-MP thinking it was broken. I later learned that vehicle damage wasn't synchronized at that point (0.1b)

Brilliant mod lads! It made me go out and buy San Andreas for PC
