Best freeware video editor? -
Backwardsman97 - 28.04.2011
I've been trying to make a video and the only thing holding me back is a video editor. I've tried a couple of free ones that weren't very good. I like what windows movie maker can do but it lags in the preview and even the finished product is screwed up. All I want is to be able to make a few transitions and text on the screen. Nothing fancy. I'm gonna try windows movie maker again with my files converted to wmv I guess. While I'm at that, any suggestions?

Gross. WMM is horrible, and should not be compared to ANYTHING. You should not be able to distinguish what software someone used to edit a video, and thats exactly what WMM does. I can tell if it was WMM (most of the time) and its not that hard...
Wax, its free and very versatile. I'm pretty sure it does greenscreen too; that just tells you how good it is :P
