I really prefer Sony Vegas 10. I always used it to edit my old movies for CS :P But Adobe After Effects would be much better.

Sure Adobe After Effects is the best. It isn't hard to use, just see some tutorials (have alot on internet) and you'll see how good it is. I think, if you really want "effects" use A.E.F, and if you just want "edit" (remove/add/cut) your video, use Sony Vegas.

I don't usually recommend this but if you want to learn check out videocopilot.net (Reason I don't usually recommend is because people copy rather than learning and putting their own creative twist on things.
