Make domain refer to IP? -
anantanni - 05.04.2011
Hey there, I want to make a sub-domain refer to an IP address.
Like server.someshit.co.cc:7777
How to do it?
Host : byethost.com
Domain registrar : co.cc :P

1. Login to
www.co.cc
2. Goto your domain, and choose zone records
3. For host type in your domain name like "server.someshit.co.cc" without the port
4. For the TTL put 1H, and for the type put A
5. Set the value to what your external IP is.
6. It should look like this -
/imageshack/img132/7762/screenege03.jpg
6. Click setup!
This will only work well if you have a static IP, for dynamic IP's you will have to keep changing it, or use a service with dynamic updater.

not sure how cc.co works but if you use cpanel you can create a subdomain like server.domain.com than just go to Advanced DNS Zone Editor and edit it on there to the IP
