0.3 R2 Server Anti-DDOS not working - Mandrakke - 27.03.2011

Even when upgrading to 0.3 R2 version, DDOS attacks still causing critical lag on my server.

i have to do something to "activate" Anti-DDOS system? because it prevents players from playing on my server.


any help?

I get them too, an hour ago too :/
There is no " anti ddos " system
The only thing you can do is with firewall/IpTables (linux only?)

and even this doesn't stop an attack, just makes it a little more tolerable to play.

But i speak for everyone that DDOS's are a bitch, and cannot really completely stopped.

(unless you're willing to dish out tons of money over 1K to 3K a month for special network router/load- 2 firewall redirect server load handler... which none of us have that type of skill or money to do so... )

Well.. to stop DDOS attacks i only set "Rcon 0" into server.cfg..

That wont really stop it.
Just trick the attacker.
but it does help a little %

Tell your provider if you are under attack, they are normally the only ones that can help.

Get ddos protection if your host provides.

For some host provider they are giving this ADDON. Only host providers can help you with that.

There is no System, Im afraid. but try using Firewall.
