It's many hours of work, if you wanted a full fledged RP gamemode, it could take a very knowledgeable programmer maybe 50 hours or more at a guess, at Irish minimum wage, that's 8x50, which is 400 euros, that's around $600!

Since programming is a skill rather than general knowledge, then you wouldn't be paid at minimum wage for doing it either. It still depends on how much work you want done, but a full fledged RP gamemode is a lot of work by the standards set today in SA-MP.

Yep there are lots of people who pay that much for a script. Dont know if I they just have too much money, or if they really think it would be a investement, and they would earn more money with donations and VIP accounts.

But there are too many RP servers, you wont get it paid out very probably, even the scripter did a great job.

This also depends on what you want. But all in all it will be a cheaper variant as you can keep big parts of the script. A medium/big complete edit could cost around 100-200$, while scripters will add single new features for only 10-30$
