New Graphics Card -
Scenario - 23.12.2010
Evening... I told my girlfriend
this is what I wanted for Christmas, as I don't really need stupid crap like a bracelet which says "Friendship", LOL. Would it be a good buy?

Yes, Its a good graphic card just make sure you got PCI Express 2.0 because i remember my old pc i did not have a PCI Express 2.0 so i had to return the graphic card and its a good graphic card.

I believe it does, it's got a high-end motherboard. I'm sure she has already purchased the card (as it's the only thing I told her I wanted)... so we will see if it works or not!

Are you implying this card is only compatible with AMD motherboards? I didn't see anything in the specifications, or when I talked to some of the sales associates at BestBuy, they didn't say anything...

Sorry for kinda offtopic, but what if she gets you something else? Like a bracelet. Would you start like... screaming at her, and ultimately dump her?
Also, to me it looks like you're a bit selfish/greedy, no? Maybe she expected "As long as I got you, I need nothing else" kind of answer if she asked you what you wanted? ( Unless you like.. sneaked up on her "Hey.. you know, christmas is coming, and I was just wondering what you should get me. So... I want THIS!")
Also... you don't 'sound' too mature. How old are you/is she? Does she have a income, or are you depending on her parents to buy it or something?
Just looks a bit weird to me "I told my girlfriend I wanted THIS for christmas!!"
Just a little reminder: Christmas is not about expensive presents and flashy lights. If it's anything at all, except commercial holiday to get people to buy crap, then it's about getting a little brake from your work/school, and being with your beloved ones. Happy holidays!

They work no matter what setup you use. Like right now, i have two gfx cards powering two monitors (dual screens FTW) and i have my ATI (main one) and my second is a Nvidia.
so there would be no problems. But, the probelm with two of different brands, are that there are driver conflicts.
