wow, everytime I go to run samp-server.exe it says

Unable to exec file 'server.cfg'
Error: Your password must be changed from the default password, please change it.

well... i've changed the rcon password in server.cfg

here is a copy of my server.cfg

All I can suggest is that you verify your server.cfg ( the one you edited ) is in the right place

It should be in your main folder where the samp_server.exe is.

Ah, I see.. my samp-server.exe wasn't in the right place.

in the same folder as samp-server.exe ( for windows )

If it is in the right place, try a few different things to debug the error...

- change the name of the gamemode ( .amx file )
- delete ( or move ) server.cfg, and see if you get a different error
- try some different rcon passwords
- put mapname <something> in the server.cfg ( clutching at straws here, but you should try everything )
