sa-mp at school - Fenom - 02.12.2010

hi!
Sorry for starting this thread again but the old one dissapeared :P
So Yeah I remebered something, what if the local ip wont work?
Will port 80 work?? And a program that checks what ports are open is what I need too.

Thank

Re: sa-mp at school - Jochemd - 02.12.2010

You can always use 127.0.0.1:7777 (port depends on what you use) and you do not have to port-forward for this. It all depends on what port you have given in server.cfg

I cannot tell where you can find your local IP, but probably its XP, so Network Connections -> select network you're using, and look left down. There you'll see it

Re: sa-mp at school - Fenom - 02.12.2010

127.0.0.1 that my local ip others wont see it.

Re: sa-mp at school - Jakku - 02.12.2010

Have you tried this yet?

1. Run -> cmd -> Write "ipconfig" -> Take a look at "IPv4 Address" -> Start the server and try it

Re: sa-mp at school - Axuj - 02.12.2010

How can local ip don't work? Maybe you didn't enter a port of your server. localhost or 127.0.0.1 is your PC ip... Try to see, have you entered the port right. So good luck.

Re: sa-mp at school - Clinton - 02.12.2010

I am having same problem I have port forwarded according to the maual on portforward.com or what ever the hell that website is.

Re: sa-mp at school - Fenom - 02.12.2010

Axuj
127.0.0.1 - i can see it, but my friends dont :P

Re: sa-mp at school - admantis - 02.12.2010

man that's obvious, because 127.0.0.1 is your local IP not your public IP you can give to other people to play, that IP you get from www.ipchicken.com but 127.0.0.1 will work only for u.

Re: sa-mp at school - Fenom - 02.12.2010

Hey and another thing....
When we played nfs porsche, someone hosted, and we connected to his ip which he got from "what is my ip"
and it worked.

Re: sa-mp at school - scripter1 - 02.12.2010

Yes. You can also use "what is my ip", as long as you give your friends your external(public) IP you should be fine.
