Where to start [scripting] - BittleRyan - 01.12.2010
Well I know i will probably get tons of hate replies, that seems to be the normal here.
So after playing on a ton of GF edits I want to make my own game-mode. From scratch. I have never scripted in any GTA series. I thought this might be a challenging and interesting experience. So i deiced why not!
Anyways, I have read most of the pages from the SA-MP wiki page. They helped a little, but i am looking for any other good tutorials that start from the basic of the basic level. I have looked in the TUT section in this forums but all those TUTs use notepad to communicate with the viewer, which is cheesy. I am looking for a good voice tutorial. And anything else that might help a brand new scripter.
What are the best ways to start learning how to script? I know experience, but what to start of scripting in the beginning, ECT.

Yeah thanks. I basically had a second thanksgiving with the wiki, through the last few days. And have read through a lot of the forums. I am looking more for a video TUT, with someone that can actually speak.
I will keep you in mind if I ever need help though.

I learned by looking at other GMs and trying to edit them and all (just to test, and learn). And also asking questions here when u get errors and all.
I'm still not a pro but I made a really good zombie outbreak server xD

when you're just starting just make some commands that you wouldn't even use(just for practice) e.g make a command which teleports you to a place and sends a message. then try something new. And just carry on, hopefully this helped.

1) Pawn Documentation
2) Wiki
3) Learn Mysql.

Go find a good scripting buddy that is willing to help you only if you really need help and use the wiki.

3. Ask help or ask your friends how to make some part if u dont know
