Server Hosting Issues. -
BJaxx - 11.11.2010
I have a Dlink router. I looked up on
www.portforward.com how to forward
for SA-MP. I looked up many, MANY tutorials on how to do it, I've done them
many times and still I have no luck.
I have my portforward to the following settings:
(only reason why my ip is blurred out is because I posted this originally on the main server I play,
and didn't want to be banned for advertising.)
I have server.cfg set up to port 7777, I type in the correct
IP:Port in SA-MP. But it still wont show up as online.
My Server.cfg file is set to:
echo Executing Server Config...
lanmode 0
rcon_password -secret ;]-
maxplayers 12
port 7777
hostname [Test]
gamemode0 -My GM-
filterscripts -My filterscripts-
announce 1
query 1
weburl N/A
maxnpc 0
onfoot_rate 40
incar_rate 40
weapon_rate 40
stream_distance 300.0
stream_rate 1000
What did I miss?

I read a tutorial to try to set up an exception for it..
Didn't work

EDIT-
I turned off the firewall and went to
www.canyouseeme.org
and tried a test for port 7777
this is what popped up
Error: I could not see your service on 67.160.126.32 on port (7777)
Reason: Connection timed out
Please help..

You only need UDP, not TCP.

Switched it to UDP
Still no dice.
I run the server,
check on SA-MP under my IP:Port, and get nothing.
EDIT-
I just realized that when I go to my Dlink Router,
go to portforwarding, and on the first picture you can see
"Computer Name" and a little drag box to the left of it.
If you click the down arrow, you get a list of all the computers
listed to the router. However, I realized that all of the
computers IP's are LOCAL Ip's, not the computer themselves
IP's. (127.0.0.1 or whatever)
Does this mean anything?
Thought it might be a clue.

You have to put your port only. Or else, the connection will just loop and possibly crash your server.
Use whatever port like so.
:7777
^Use that because that's your LOCAL IP.

You can just disable your firewall.

You need to forward your LOCAL ip address and not your external one!
In my case(and most cases) it would be 192.168.1.102.
