[Help]Learning mapping - iJerk - 22.09.2010

I want to start mapping, but i have no clue where to start tbh.
All i have found is the Map editor.

So i have a couple of questions.
-What is MTA and how is it related to sa-mp mapping?
-How can i start mapping and where can i find the tutorials for it ?

MTA (Multi Theft Auto) is a multiplayer grand theft auto modification, in the installation of that modification, there is a Map Editor. The map editor saves .map files which can be converted to SAMP's CreateObject feature, or other streamers. When you first run the Map Editor from MTA, you will be given a tutorial on mapping some basic things
