what is the best gamemode to run in a server with 50 slots. I tried roleplay but kinda failed. What r ur opinions?

I understand that but what I mean is which type of gamemode? Like roleplay, stuntages, drift and dm. ?

I got you wrong,sorry.
I'd suggest you go for what you like,I will go for stuntages as that's my favorite kind of servers in SA:MP.
But as I see,around 75% of the SA:MP Community likes Roleplay.

but there are so many roleplay servers out there and so the starter servers get no players. I might try stuntages with deathmatch. Is that a good idea?

Sounds great,not the uniquest but yet not overused.
Mixing two styles of gamemodes in one is a great way to attract players.

You can try San Andreas Stuntified (by Rafay) or eXtreme Stuntages (by MaykoX), RP sucks.
