My friend cant connect to servers? - Will77 - 21.08.2010

What should he do?

Hes running Windows XP, everything was installed correctly, Im sure of it I did it for him. But whenever he tries to connect it gives:

Connecting to server: (ip crap)
Retrying...

Etc and it does this over and over, never works.

Im not sure how to fix, I thought it may be because theres not an exception for him in his firewall, but I also thought maybe its because he doesn't have the downgrade?

How do we fix?

its not that he must downgrade, because the sa-mp is booting.
and this is on any server he tries? The most i would say is to Uninstall SA-MP, (Uninstall, do not choose repair option if available.) then install it again.

and if he is using windows firewall, just add an exeption for his sa-mp.exe.

Steps for adding exception? Any specific things needed different?

Ill try that and retry, if It doesn't I'll reinstall.

It also could be he has 0.3b.. he needs 0.3a to play most servers.

Edits not working atm.

Ive added exception, didn't work.

Tried reinstalling, and now get Handle 32 is not valid or some shit.

did you try reinstall both the game and samp....


He prob has 0.3b... tell him to try to connect to one of the servers in the internet list instead of trying to join the servers you are in.
