U.S. Marshall is a protective service over clients, while the FBI investigates and enforces the law. That's about the only difference.

U.S. Marshals are the enforcement arm of the U.S. Federal Courts. They enforce federal law. They protect federal court officials and perform federal criminal apprehension. FBI (Federal Bureau of
Investigation) is the investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Justice. They are both an investigative body and an intelligence body.
