multiplayer problem - you_are_a_noise - 05.06.2010

Sorry for the super-vague title. Basically I've installed to my laptop (windows vista) and whenever I downgraded to run sa-mp it never worked. Not only did it give an error message (which is apparently supposed to happen even when it works from what I've seen) but when I try to connect to a server and play sa-mp, it doesn't load up the multiplayer screen, my options are "New Game", "Options", "Quit Game".

So I tried installing to my other pc (windows XP) and I'm having the same problem.

Can I please get some help? ******* isn't helping and my friend (who it did work for) can't get any help on the irc when he's in the game to see if anyone had the same problems.
