Cannot install SA-MP - Printable Version

Cannot install SA-MP - Sexy Fish - 04.06.2010

Ive recently downloaded San Andreas from the Steam store and it has a different directory than the CD version.
It Refuses to install at all even when given the correct directory.


"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto san andreas" Is the directory that has all the files, Ive tried downloading the downgrade patch but it says "No files to patch".

So it wont either down the SA-MP or the Downgrade Patch. Anyone out there happen to know whats going on with this?
Ive also tried running as administrator and still nothing changes.

Will changing the name and the directory of where it is now to the CD directory and make it say RockStar Games, etc. Maybe that would do anything?

You cannot use the DG Patch with Steam or D2D copies of the game.

So its impossible to play SA-MP or even install it unless downloaded from the actual CD or Torrent?

Actually i can install it still but i would need the files from the downgrader and the SA:MP, and manually place them in the correct directory.

But it wont allow me to download to desktop for some reason and i need to find them from someone else.
