Tips to make a server popular - Saurik - 27.05.2010

Hey guys.

Can someone post some tips to get a server more populated and famous.... Servers like SACNR , crazy bobs , and soo on...

Well you can start by having a good banner that will catch peoples eyes.

Then you can list some of your server features such as non gf edit, hosted 24/7, etc.

Post in the server Ads every month for more and more people to come. Even advertise on other sites that are gaming if you want to.

an excellent script with a lot of features.
hosted list brings players, a good script keeps them.

First few days of my server had around 16 people on..
What i did was:
Scripted new features
added the server to hosting list
Fixed as many bugs as i could
Made the players happy. xD

I had a server with 70/100 people on it. (Crazy Fathead's Server). Well, I updated with new scripte EVERY day. We also were on the hosted tab. We got really famous.

It brings players, if you create a sufficient anti-cheat then it's hardly an issue with the hackers.

SA:MP itself brings morons and hackers, the hosted list just lets them find the servers easier.

Be unique, have a unique script and somthing different that seperates you from the rest.

You also have to have a good team of Administrators and it helps if you have some friends to help build the foundations of a community.
