Buying a gun! -
Joe Staff - 27.04.2010
A couple of weeks ago I went to the firing range with my brother and we rented a WW2 era British sterling subgun, this one I believe:
I had a blast shooting the thing, besides having to unjam it every 6 rounds.
And since I'm turning 21 on July 3rd, I thought it would be cool to save up for a handgun. I had 2 in mind:
Springfield XD 45 .ACP - 5" Barrel - Double Action - Semi-Automatic
Beretta Px4 Storm 45 .ACP - 4" Barrel - Double/Single Action - Semi-Automatic
If you have any suggestions please post them.
I'd much prefer Double action over Single action.
I don't want a revolver, so semi-autos only.
And I'd like for it to have a mounting rail underneath the barrel for an attachment
I had this attachment in mind:
Streamlight TLR-2 Weapon Light With Laser

They're for recreation only.
I've decided not to go with the Beretta because it feels so lacking for some reason, maybe because it's a standard issue for police in some states, I kinda wanted something that had some 'shock-n-awe' to it.
I think I'll get these:
Springfield XD Tactical 45 .ACP Full Size
and
Crimson Trace Sight & Laser
Unless someone can suggest something more interesting.
I really like the XD Tactical, but I feel hesitant to get it because it doesn't have a normal safety on it(no switch) it just uses the grip and scissor style trigger safeties.

Actually it depends on how mutch you are willing to give for a handgun?
The Glock-17 is still my favourite.

OFFTOPIC:You mean donating money to organisations, did you know that they keep a big percentage of the money.
Ontopic: He said he's using guns for a hobby. Some people just like to shoot with weapons, who cares.
