SA-MP Crashing at 80% - GrandTheftAudio - 11.04.2010

I've tried both fixes in this thread but neither work for me. The game loads to about 80-85% and simply closes, stating "SA-MP" has crashed.
I run Windows XP SP1a and I recently wiped my C: drive, I've just reinstalled XP, all drivers, etc.

Get Windows XP SP3 (or at least SP2) and then try. Missing framework updates could be the problem. (Don't know for sure though)

yeah get updates. then Reinstall gta

a and sa-mp if it still fails. if that then check if any mods are interfering? if you have any.
