some people cant connect to server - jamesbond007 - 04.04.2010

i have all my ports port forwarded but some people cant connect to the server....

This picture below is from one of the players trying to connect



but at THAT same time the server was open...




What might be the problem?!?!?!

please help me... this is not the first time already that its happening...

Your router might be throttling the connection.

It could be a problem with the routes between your and their ISPs, there is very little you can do about it.

If your server is "hosted" you need to contact them. If your server is "home-hosted" you need to check your portforwarding. Also make sure you have a Dynamic IP address.

mine is home hosted and port forwarded right because then people would not be able to connect at all but its only some that cant see the server.

why would i want a dynamic ip ?

You don't want one, you need one. Basically, it doesn't let your IP address change, keeping the IP to your server the same too. You might already have one, but I am not sure.

You're getting confused between dynamic and static.

You're getting confused between dynamic and static.
Am I? Isn't a Dynamic IP the same as a Static IP, people call it differently?
