How do people know the positions to put the objects in for their maps, and the positions for spawn points?

Because on the Cops and Robbers GM that I made, both cops and robbers spawn at the same spot, but I want cops to spawn at the police station, and the robbers to spawn at the airport.

How do I find these coordinates?

Type /save ingame and go to your gta folder and find savedpositions.txt
