Parachute Flying Question - BMGP - 13.03.2010

Hi!
Today i played with my Friend at my Server and we used parachutes....
But he could fly farer then my - I PRESSED W (Forward Key) and he too, but he flew far away

We both do not have mods etc.

Someone has an idea?

Re: Parachute Flying Question - XRVX - 13.03.2010

i think this has to do with lag
you see him farder away but actually he is not

Re: Parachute Flying Question - BMGP - 13.03.2010

Maybe any hack?

You need to press S instead, makes your legs go up, you will fly a bit slower but go further.

Both Seif and exora are correct, depending on what state the parachutes were in. Were the parachutes out, and you were paragliding, or were you still free-falling?

If the parachutes were already deployed, then pressing the backwards/reverse key will slow your descent but cause you to glide farther. Pressing the forward key will cause you to fall nearly straight down and more rapidly. Adding lag to this could also cause the fall speeds to be different.

If the parachutes weren't out yet, then Seif is probably right about lag being the cause for the difference in falling speeds. Any kind of lag could cause it really.

He had the frame limiter on and you didnt. (or the other way around, same thing happens when swimming)

Yeah, press "S". Your characters shouldn't stay in the air though, if they did, that would be rather strange but awesome at the same time.
