Where to start.. - Dolph - 01.03.2010

Where can I start? With PAWNO. I mean, please dont just tell me to go on the wiki and try there, cause they doesn't really help me much? How bout' if you guys tell me what I can start with, then do more when I get better. its like 1st grade, 2nd grade and so on..

So yeah, I can read the wiki, I just need to know where to start.(What that is the easiest thing and so on, but don't start to simple, cause I know some).

Re: Where to start.. - Kix - 01.03.2010

Start by downloading the SA-MP server package then going on the wiki. Seriously, the wiki helps. Its the only way. Unless if someone is willing to teach you...

Re: Where to start.. - iLinx - 01.03.2010

download the server package and edit some of the scripts that come with it.

Re: Where to start.. - Dolph - 01.03.2010

Omg, I appreciate help guys, but do you really think I havent downloaded it yet? I even said that its shuld not be to easy, cause I know some.. Isnt that obvious?

How did u guys learn it? Reading the wiki.. You know everything.. Cause its not that simple.

Re: Where to start.. - Kix - 01.03.2010

I did read the wiki. And I still do read the wiki. You don't have to memorise everything, because there are hundreds of functions and callbacks. You can use the wiki as a reference.

Re: Where to start.. - Fresh9884 - 01.03.2010

Edit some other scripts and then try making a fresh clean script and you will no doubt make your script withouth any problems.

AddPlayerClass + AddStaticVehicle

Re: Where to start.. - Hiddos - 02.03.2010

Start off with the basics. Once you know how to make simple commands like ''/kill'' and added a few vehicles, try reading other scripts and figure out how it works. Seif has got some easy scripts, you might want to check out his Admin system (That's where I began)

http://forum.sa-mp.com/index.php?topic=40940.0 (Do try and figure out simple commands first)

Re: Where to start.. - RoBo - 02.03.2010

Reading the wiki won't get you very far, it's mainly just function and callback lists whereas you need to learn the syntax of PAWN. You might even find it easier to read up on C.

Thats a good advice, and I have a feeling that this will go much better now.. Look at others, learn, get inspiration, create.. I have done it before, and it is not super hard either..

Thanks man!
