Linux what? Debian, CentOS, Fedora Core, etc.

Re: Latest Version Linux - RyDeR` - 12.02.2010

I never tried linux before, what's the best one recently?

Re: Latest Version Linux - iLinx - 12.02.2010

CentOS 5 (Or anything RedHat based) is best for hosting solutions imo, most of the internet seems to agree aswell.

Re: Latest Version Linux - RyDeR` - 13.02.2010

Thanks, anyone else agrees with CentOS in the forum?

Re: Latest Version Linux - XeoN_13 - 13.02.2010

Cent OS all the way.

Re: Latest Version Linux - RyDeR` - 13.02.2010

So Cent OS is the best. I'll take a try of it.

Not to jack your topic but a thought came onto my mind, which Linux would be the "regular" OS? You know, everyday use, for normal people?

Yeah but that OS is going to be relatively useless. It's for netbooks and all you can do is use a web browser and play media (music, video, and images)

Thanks guys.

Re: Latest Version Linux - joemomma53 - 14.02.2010

for hosting, I'd say use centOS or debian, both are widely used and have support if you need it.

for desktop usage, I reccomend Fedora, debian, or if you're a complete beginner to linux, ubuntu.

Fedora ftw

I prefer using Windows. More stable, flawless.
Correct me if I am wrong.

So? This is a linux topic, stop clutting it up with Windows nonsense. And how would we go on correcting your opinion?
