Crash / Timeout - Outbreak - 07.01.2010

I'm not sure if this is caused by an ingame attack, script exploit, or some cheater using a spawner or something.

The server will run fine, then certain times of day everyone will start crashing. Only the ones who are interiors will not crash.

I replicated it myself by spawning an invalid vehicle model. So i made a little function to check and destroy any invalid models.

I tested it fully and it did work nicely. The players still crashed but the vehicle was destroyed quickly and the players were able to conenct and play without me having to restart the server.

Noirmally it happens, i gmx the server and its fine for a while.

Sometimes though like tonight, i gmx the server and it happened straight away, and then again.

I wrote a new gamemode, with nothing in that would cause such problems. So im not sure what else could be causing it.

Im not aware of any object spawner, or way to add vehicle componants through cheat program. Maybe there is but i haven't seen it..

Could anyone shed some light on this, its only really happening at certain times of the day, around the same time.

When people crash, is it just like a "Server Closed connection" (Like a normal SERVER crash) or like a Client crash for everyone? Like when you get the Error details and it says "Sa-mp has crashed"

Client crash.

And then theres a mass spam in the echo channel and for other still in the server. ... has left the server (TimeOut)

Could you copy + paste the crash error? And is it similiar to this one ?

It was an error similar to that yeah, after the game closed.

Its only happened once in the last 2 days which is unusual. Its normally happening every day around the same time.

Try to check your logs to see what's happening before the crash and how many new players joined then try to cross referance with other times and you should find your problem.

I found out, as i suspected, it had something to do with vehicles being spawned...

I thought it was something like an invalid vehicle model, only it isn't..

I just tried to spawn a Rhino (Model 432) and my server froze, and everyone crashed.

So it even happens with valid vehicle models.. So does anyone know the cause of this?

Could it be that modifications on your vehicles get passed to new spawned vehicles (such as Nitros)?
