I believe you just plug in the xtra monitors and change your settings in your graphics panels to fit on all 3 screns, or you can clone our screen on all 3.

there is only one socket on most hard drives/laptops for only one monitor

you need to use a desktop with a videocard that has support for multiple monitors

i dont know if theres a such thing as a video splitter, but if there is one then you should invest in it.

Yeah, video splitters exist, they are usually boxes which require their own power supply and can split a video signal up to 4 ways (biggest i have seen).
