Help.Retreiving Info... - klcastleberry360 - 03.11.2009

Please help me figure out how to fix my server again.I started my server just fine with everything and it showed up in samp.I played it to test it out and it played fine.Then I left to edit the script some.When I came back to play it it just says Retrieving Info....I can't find anything to fix it.

Make sure you have portforwarded. http://www.portforward.com/
Make sure your server.cfg file has query and announce set to 1
Make sure your server is actually running
Allow announce.exe and samp-server.exe through any firewalls/antivirus software you have
Try running a default gamemode and see if the server works.

And you can't join your public IP: Usage: 127.0.0.1:7777

what is supposed to happen when you click announce.exe....mine just does nothing...i have announce set to 1 and have done samp-server

announce.exe is run when you run samp-server.exe you don't run it yourself

do i need a static ip and if so where can i get one?
