Hosting A Server And Forwarding Ports [Detailed Guide] - Ritchie999 - 26.10.2009

Hello, i have just seen a guide on here about port forwarding and hosting a server and IMO it wasn't very detailed so i will give you this guide on how to do it

1: Download the SAMP Server Kit
2: Open server.cfg once downloaded and read the port number 7777
3: Go onto your router's website and go to the Port Forwarding section (Use This to help you)
4: You might also want to forward port 7100 on TCP for less lag on the SA:MP
5: After you are done that go to TypeFish to check if your server is online

Thats it, your done, happy playing

Errors:

"My server is online but not in internet list"
Dont worry, it takes a maximum of 10 minutes to be in the internet list

"I forwarded the ports but my server still isn't on"
More than likely you forwarded 7777 on UDP which doesn't need to be done since it is already forwarded as router default settings

"Which ports do i forward?"
You forward 7777 and 7100 both on TCP..

If you have any more problems then please dont hesitate to ask

tutorial

Umm no. 7100 isn't used, and neither is TCP.

i couldn't host untill i forwarded 7100 and had them forwarded on TCP and not on UDP for my 7777 port.. if the guide is wrong then please feel free to post your comments on what instructions you used to get your server up
