well the router is the wifi...
there are modems that are wifi ( wireless ) anyways it the router most likely.
so you need to go to the router and takeoff the 2 things open them and make new metal lines not sure how they called. i dont remeber but it works.

Have you ever tried reading the topic? You think i would go up to someones router i don't even know, and fuck with it? Yes i know the router controls the Channels and signals it send's out, but i am wanting to boost the signal from the laptop, As i am in a public place.

you could try purchasing a wireless USB adapter, if the internet has a WEP code then i suggest you buying two wireless USB adapters, a Netgear WG111v2 to get the wep code, and then a stronger one to pickup better signals

use a better card (ie. N class instead of G)

If you dont want to buy a new card try this:

print out the following image
put on 1 side aluminium foil and set it together
put it over your antenna, and aim in direction you need

works for me

Or else just put a piece of paper on tin-foil instead of printing that out, the exact same thing
