I like the idea, but the roads on the railtrack makes it crappy. Try other stuff, protection rails(the ones that are used on roads at hilsl to prevent accidents) etc... stuff like that. You can make a road with anything, all u need is imagination.

Use the proper railway crossing boomgates, they open/close by themself!
