You can connect to 0.3 R3 servers with 0.3a client.

0.3 R3 servers and 0.3a clients are FULLY compatible, that is, you do it same way as you did with 0.3a server.

Also, linux R3 fixed an assertion error at fputchar afaik. There was a post regarding this, something with hebrew writing to a file

fputchar (for Linux) is still bugged.
