I voted no because I really really really hate soccer, but I think it's a nice and original concept and you should definitely work it out. Maybe it'll be hard to get a consistent player-base but I think it's worth the effort.

Amazing. I am not really a fan of soccer(games/real life soccer), but this looks really nice, I might give it a try sometime

I'm not much for soccor, but I do love to see new and unique scripts so I'd still play it! You could also (eventually) span out to other sports such as (American) football, Tennis (would be a real bitch), bowling, etc.

You could include car soccer too if you would like to.
And maybe some other sports too like nmader said.
