Buy GTX 680 for awesome performance else buy GTX 480 for normal performance which can be adjusted with your PC specs.

Re: buying a new graphic card (help) - Duck - 20.08.2012

Get a new mobo first, one that supports core i3 or i5 depending on your budget.
Get either an i3 or i5 processor.
Get at least 4GB RAM (preferably DDR3)
Now get the GTX 560 / 570 and you won't bottleneck.

I'm currently using GTX 560,and because of that card,I sold my old PC and bought all new set.
AND get at least 4 Gig of ram, lots of games lags even on serious PCs because of low ram.

Agreed,I have I7 2600 + GTX560 and even I have problems on highest settings,I'm having 30-40 with highest shadows and little bit high distance view.
GTX 560 isn't also a TOP card , it's a mid-range card... Just try GTA IV everything maxed out on a GTX 670/680, I'm pretty sure it will run smoothly

I agree. That could be maximum performance specs.

Hah ? i have a friend that has some sucky graphic card(not sure what, but mw3 can't handle) and he run iv perfectly.
Why does everybody think that GTA IV requires strong computer parts ...
even radeon 5450 512MB can handle that shitty graphic.
(unless you're running it on high resulotion, otherwise, don't see the reason)

Probably, after buying these parts he will not be able to afford gtx,so GT or GTS is prefered instead (depends on your resulotion,if high, then gtx, small - gt/gts)

THANKS Duck
and hi Massive :>

AW: buying a new graphic card (help) - Blunt P - 20.08.2012

if you want to play GTA IV at Decent settings, then you should rather buy a good CPU than a good graphicscard.

Dont listen to the most people so far, i dont even know how they could write crap like that o_O

If you do not have much money, you should go for an AMD CPU not Intel. You should look for an AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition and then the right Mainboard & Ram. You would save alot of money for decent power. Buying a i3 is just stupid oO

Re: AW: buying a new graphic card (help) - newbienoob - 20.08.2012

Well... which one is better? intel core i5 or AMD Phenom II 965 because I was planning to buy i5.

the i5 is better, but way more expensive. Thats where you have to think about your budget. You can build a rather decent PC with around 600Euro with an AMD Phenom 965.

If you have like 1200Euro, you should grab an i5 or i7 CPU.

Seriously, you should shut-up if you have no idea what you're talking about.
AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-Core is ranked at the 383th place and cost 110$ also its counted as mid-end cpu while Intel Core i3-2120 @ 3.30GHz is ranked at the 198th place and cost 109.99$ also its counted as a high-end cpu.
so you're comparing here a high-end cpu with mid-end.

price is overdo, far away from the real price.

I'd spend most of the money on the AMD bulldozer CPU's. Otherwise go for the AMD Phenom II X4

If you call 30-35 FPS a smooth then yes,I was pretty supprised that GTA IV maxed out only reaches 30-40 fps.
But after 60fps gameplay it's hard to play on 30fps,So yea... it's a mid card.

AMD proccecors are rubbish.
why would someone spend his money on low performance proccecor while he can spend almost the same amount of money and enjoy higher performance ?

I'm actually calling smooth playing with 50+ FPS.

Oh if you don't believe at any way:

Average of 66 FPS, I believe you call it smooth too

Low performance?
My X6 1090T runs at 5.4ghz currently. Combine a motherboard with great overclocking abilities and a great overclockable(is that even a word?) CPU and you'll have the fastest processor ever if done properly in terms of cooling and knowledge. I recently done a few benchmarks with my CPU, it was 37% faster than the latest i7.

You understand that it's not only about the speed of the cores, you need to look at other things, like cache memory, the amount of cores, etc...

Never fking mind... removed.

faster,but not better.
you can't keep overclocking your computer every time you want it to be faster.
it will simply burn up some day,the overclocking making the proccecor hotter which means it requires a faster and cooler fans.
if you're overclockin it in mineral oil, then you've less chances to burn it,otherwise it will slow down by the time.
the i7 is faster & better without overclocking, which means it will servive longer than overclocked amd fx proccecor.

In this post:
http://forum.sa-mp.com/showpost.php?...3&postcount=77

You've told us it was at 5.2 Ghz, right now it's at 5.4 maybe next week at 6Ghz ?

Please just show us some screenshots like core temp, cpu-z, those benchmarks and whatever because I'm sure your CPU can't beat one 3960x also hexa-core that easy...

Oh and it would be nice to have a picture of the interior of your case because it all seems fake since 2 6990's would pass the 1000W mark with some games and you say you have a 700W PSU...

are you a fucking moron?
I wrote AMD Phenom II 965 which is NOT AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-Core. He wants to Play GTA 4, which is optimized for Quad Cores and you want him to buy a Dualcore or what?. So shut your trap and read & think before u write something.
