I had to downgrade to XP cause my hardware is going bad and my computer is a bit slower on 7, so now I can actually play SA:MP and other games without lag.

Well I installed XP, and its really better than Windows 7..

7 is definitely better than XP in any way, but requires a more powerful PC.
If you said it was working before, then try doing a PC cleanup (inside aswell).
If it is still not working, do a clean reinstall of Win7 - that should help;

Doesn't mean anything if it's pentium 4, it could stay good for gaming. I suggest to keep win 7. And i evict to use Win Vista it's FPS killer LOL.

Well if you have a great PC with great specs then go for Windows 7 else go for XP!

Who still use Win XP, it sucks. I supposing that your still using it beacuse of performance, if so change your PC i don't think your poor.
